-16 here in southern SD . no wind and glad i dont have cows anymore

Low double digits next couple nights.

But I literally got 467 ft of fence line I gotta dog proof .
Gonna get 5 sections of 2ft x 100 ft rolls of 14 ga horse fencing.
80 frigging 3 ft rods of some sort.

Make the 4ft chain link a 6ft anti doggie one jump and bound over
barrier.

Backyard is gonna look like a fugging Nato commo site from the late 80,s in Germany or some schit by the time I'm done.


All thanks to Khan and the daughter bringing home a rescue hound tuesday outta the blue.
They both knew once I met him I would want to keep him and neither would get more than a few mins of me flipping out about him once I met him.

Mr I stand 6ft tall on my hind legs figured out how to jump the fence yesterday. Twice.

Simple solution was make him a tie out cable dog .

But oh no ....
Khan and the daughter want " Baylor" the wonder hound to be able to enjoy the whole backyard this morning.

Not looking forward to putting up this doggie internment compound during this "cold weather" down here.

Baylor is lucky I like him alot.
And wanta keep him outta the neighbors yards who all have dogs.

Needs to gain about 20 25 pds
Turned 1 yr old 9 Jan.
We are his 4th home, 2 previous " owners" doggie rehab place then us.
Khan and daughter got him from the doggie rehab home.
I can only imagine what he looked like prior to that.
He has a permanent home now with us.

My buddies shop was comfy last night despite -16 outside at the time.

Good morning, just came in from feeding the horses. 10' with 20 mph wind. In my part of West. Texas.

0 here, -5 tonight. Supposed to be -10 tomorrow night. Split wood and put it up yesterday, in shirt sleeves and a hat. About 14 degrees.

Big deal here will be the 20-30 mph winds with subzero temps and snow. Folks here not used to it anymore. We will probably go for a walk this afternoon, high of 4 degrees and snow. Its not bad when you dress for it.

Ha! Wife wanted to go walking. That was 8 this morning, in her chair by the woodstove, We went to town, now no more walk today. She decided it was cold...

BRRRR got down to 40 here with cold rain. Wish it would dry up a mite bit I need to mow the grass!!

-10 feels like -24. Low tonight is supposed to be -20 we got another 4” of snow yesterday so got about 21” on the ground.

I’d go coyote calling if the wind wasn’t screaming but it is so I’m not. Probably go chop ice and roll out a couple bales here in a bit. Lunch at Mom and Dad’s and then I’ll probably just sit here and feed the stove.

-9 here in the Helena Valley. Yesterday morning it was -27 when I left for the monthly schuetzen match in Butte. The old wood stoves kept the schuetzen house toasty.

14° here, got the kids dog while they are at a volleyball tournament in Franklin. Little mixed rescue that has decided to take every step with me...no, I do not need another dog, repeat. SWMBO asked me if I kissed her goodnight...bitches do get jealous.

What is the deal with dog toys anyway, my dogs played with sticks, dead rabbits, ducks and squils when I was a kid...

Looks to be about 20 at the moment here in the Hill Country. I took the pup out for a whiz and she experienced her first shot of ice and spun a 360.
