Saw on Just the News that CZ bought Colt. At least they are a firearms manufacturer so hopefully won't muck it up.
I am continually astounded at how quickly people make up their minds on little evidence or none at all. Jack O'Connor

I rather support american owned companies but if it comes down to colt being owned by a hedge fund or a foreign gun maker that makes good quality stuff I think I'd go with the foreigners

We may witness a world record speed record broken in how fast they can pack up CT operations and move it all to AR.

Seeing as how CZ is based in Kansas City, KS, I doubt it.

Yet, almost two years later, everything is still in Kansas. All the guns come out of KS. Dan Wesson is still in New York. I'm not saying it won't happen, but it's not happening very quickly.

Do you think acquiring production equipment may have been a necessary step? Buying Colt was not an overnight deal.

AR is great, yet don't overlook South Dakota. or Montana. Give Kristy a ring if leaning to SD & I am sure we can work something out.

Basically what you get when buy Colt is the right to use the Dancing Pony. They don't have a product that is not built better by someone else. CZ / Dan Wesson build quality firearms and are financially sound, so this will be a good match for the Colt logo.

I get scared when I see firearm legends like Colt taken over by another entity but in this case it is a great move for Colt, CZ and the consumer.

It is long overdue for Colt to leave the antigen state of Connecticut.

Less of a fan of CZ now that they have discontinued the 550.

Saw on Just the News that CZ bought Colt. If this is true, Colt can only get better. Couldn’t get any worse, they’ve had that portion of the market cornered for decades.

Dear Lord, don;t mention that in the Tactical Rifle forum on this site...they will string you up. You are absolutely correct, though. There is nothing they make that isn't made better, cheaper, or both by someone else.

I’m optimistic. Dan Wesson’s success in building far building far better guns after CZ’s acquisition is a model for Colt, I hope.
