Could anyone who has sent a Colt light rifle or a Forbes rifle back to NULA to have Melvin do a tune up and/or re-barrel let me know an idea of what the cost was for the work? Feel free to PM if you'd prefer not to post dollar amounts publicly. Thanks.

It all depends on what you want done.

The basic CLR upgrade that includes a new stock, new trigger, new follower, and new firing spring will run around $900. I spoke to Mr. Forbes yesterday and will send him a CLR barreled action and a $450 partial payment as soon as I get everything packed up.

There isn't any substitute for talking to Mr. Forbes directly and you can reach him at 304-292-0600.

i think you are in the 700-800 with a forbes rebarrel...that does not include a new stock...
does include new barrel, re-bedding, re painting of the stock, bolt jeweling, re bluing of the action...i think its a bargain in todays world
