https://www.yahoo.com/news/those-power-outages-fort-worth-231231638.htmlDems and ERCOT making excuses. They had a perfectly good coal fired plant (Big Brown), that they (ERCOT) allowed to be shuttered, approx 3 years ago, that could’ve helped them avoid this. Guess the wind turbines ain’t cutting it....

Its only fair they provide cutoffs to Biden voters IMHO. And the like ilk.
Conservatives have the big picture and there would be minimal if any issues had it been run that way...

I have folks in the League City area and they’ve been without power for 17 hours so far.

A buddy of mine in Fort Worth is going on 14 hours. He bailed to a friend's when his own house got into the 40's indoors.

Need to go right for the leaders. There is no reason the power should be shut off. There are people that can't live without power. Oxygen generators and many other devices.

Yep. Well, Big Brown even had its’ OWN MINE right next to it. (They did bring in Wyoming coal to mix, so it would burn cleaner). The Dems and the EPA were on their azz for years, and ERCOT finally let the owners shut the whole thing down. “Plenty of generating capacity”, they said.
State keeps growing, and they think a bunch of wind/solar is up to the task. Same idiocy as what’s happening in Cali...

We were out from about 5 AM to 5 PM or so. The fan is spinning on the insert again. The pup is loving the snow.

The idiot “token” niqqa Houston Mayor was blaming it l on the Wind Turbines being frozen. In the old days, he’d be strung up from one of those colossal abortions.

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Brown_Power_PlantERCOT found the two-unit Big Brown plant was "not required to support ERCOT transmission system reliability", and authorized its closure by February 12, 2018.[14]

Wonder how the grid will work when they mandate electric vehicles everywhere?

Wonder how the grid will work when they mandate electric vehicles everywhere? You’ll charge it with a diesel genset. 🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️

Doing it here in Missouri as well. I believe it is a setup. We have had cold weather for longer periods and not had these issues.
I've always been different with one foot over the line.....

My Daughter around Waco has not had power since last night.
What is happening is just a taste of what will come if those fools do away with oil/gas and coal fired power plants.
The solar and wind things are a good thought but just don't cut it in the real world on their own.
In the real world *hit happens when you least expect it.

Need to go right for the leaders. There is no reason the power should be shut off. There are people that can't live without power. Oxygen generators and many other devices. Wife has been on battery power for since 3 this morning. I disconnected her power module as the backup Battery in it is a 10 minute emer. Thing. Thankfully her batteries are being recharged as the power comes back.

I don’t think “rolling power outages” are supposed to last 17 hours.
