Four years old, dad had to pull a dead cat out from underneath the front stoop.
Same year, the teenage girl three houses up, was smoking and I asked if I could try it but she refused.
Would have been 1971 and we moved to a different neighborhood the next year.
I retired from the Johns Manville asbestos pop tart factory in ‘59, and still never made the connection.—-Slumlord

Sitting in our first house and looking toward the bathroom at the end of the hall. I remember the wood floors and the lime green shower curtain. We moved from there when I was 3. We had pics of the outside but none of the interior. I mentioned the memory to my Grandmother and Aunt and they were skeptical until my mother confirmed the shower curtain color.
Life can be rough on us dreamers.

I remember our 56 Plymouth and dad’s old 50 Ford!
