Selling a Winchester Model 70 in 300 WSM that was upgraded by Hill Country Rifles. Upgraded to a McMillan stock, glass bedded, aluminum pillar, squared and trued action, and factory tuned trigger. Built roughly 12 years ago, but hasn't been shot in the last 4 years since I pulled the scope off, just don't have much use for a 300 anymore. Is in fantastic condition and round count is probably around 200-250. Comes with leupold bases and 1" rings. $1,700 plus shipping.
I have a bunch of ammo at the ranch that I can sell with it/make a deal with that I can get pictures of this weekend.
Cool rifle. Stock is a McMillan but not Win Classic. It is the proprietary J. Earl Bridges pattern. A very nice slim, quick handling stock. It also handles recoil pretty well. (I’ve had 2 of them)

Thanks for the info! Didn't know that is what it was called. Indeed it is slim and very quick handling.
Where located for those interested in face to face transaction? Also do you have the documentation of the work done by HC?
Working to see if they have the original paperwork still. I do have the paperwork from when they installed/bedded the current stock on it about 6 years ago. Located in Texas. Thanks

Spoke with HCR this morning and they are going to look for the invoice. He did however say that what I have is their old Harvester line rifle. I attached a quote from their website on what they did/do to them. Forgot to mention they have a sub MOA guarantee as well.
"How Do We Build A Harvester? After a thorough inspection of the rifle, we perform our complete Accurizing service. In addition to perfectly bedding the action, we recrown the barrel to ensure a perfectly concentric crown and tune the factory trigger to a crisp 3.0 pounds. The factory stock is replaced with a McMillan hand-laid fiberglass stock with 1” Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad.....Every gun must shoot under the guaranteed 1-inch group size before it leaves our shop."
Bump. I have 4 full boxes of Winchester 150gr ballistic Silvertip, 16 rounds of Fed Premium 180gr Nosler Partition, 13 rounds of 180gr Federal Fusion, and 14 rounds of Winchester 180gr AccubondCT that I will include with the rifle as well at $1,700 shipped.
Are you sure action was trued up with original barrel? Seems like that would be tough to do and still have stampings line back up on barrel in original factory position. Very interested in it if you can find paperwork or confirm it was trued up by HC. Thanks and nice rifle.

You just cut more thread on the barrel until it lines up.
Its all right to be white!! Stupidity left unattended will run rampant Don't argue with stupid people, They will drag you down to their level and then win by experience
I attempted to change the original listing, but I cannot seem to be able to. The action was not trued like I originally thought, and I have included the original invoice from Hill Country. An additional point that I had forgotten about is the gun is engraved as shown on the invoice, very slightly on the barrel. I have attached a picture to try and show the engraving.
With these changes, I have dropped the gun + rings/bases + ammo package price to $1,300 shipped. Thanks and sorry for the confusion
