I making another set of leather Suspenders and am wondering if anyone has a preference of width and method of attachment to pants. The last set, I used trigger snaps to connect to the belt loops. They connect at two points in front and two points in back vs just one in back.

I'm getting kind of fancy with stamping and hardware on this set and conjuring up ideas for the next set.

I get 2" wide suspenders at Tractor Supply. If made from leather don't they get tight when going from standing to sitting?

That's what I'm thinking, may put a " elastic shock absorber" in the middle of the back strap

Dang - you're tough. If I wore leather suspenders, I'd have to use bag balm on my nips.

I have always preferred button attachment since the waist band of pants tends to be a little thicker and belt loops tend to fail,

My personal preference is wide suspenders and that hook onto belt like these: https://www.amazon.com/Dickies-21DI5300-Mens-Perry-Suspender/dp/B01N2ODZRZ?th=1&psc=1

As always, YMMV...

I can understand that. I've been doing some research on the way other leather workers are doing and I'm coming up with a few good ideas.

I've used the 2" canvas while working but these are going to be more of a casual/go out to dinner look.

And yes, I do wear a belt also just so my holster has a place. I guess I could design a system for a Suspenders holster. Might think on that.

Include a jar of rubbing alcohol and you could market it to the S&M crowd.

When we would see a man wearing suspenders and a belt my dad would comment, "There goes a careful man." He also claimed if you twisted your gallases you wouldn't get struck by lightning. Like you, I like to wear suspenders to hold up my pants and a belt to hold up my gun.

Suspenders, bib overhauls, naps and velcro shoes are all gateway drugs that result in senility.

I want suspenders like was used in the movie the ghost and darkness. I think Remington had them with bullet cartridge holders.
