YIKES! That is one hawg crappie. When is the best month to fish the Lake? I'd like to haul over the hill from Reno and try it. I've never been a catch N release fan. I like to net N eat.

Nice fish! I've heard the crappie bite is fantastic this winter on Clear Lake. I've got to get up there again and give it a shot. I don't live very far away and I've got kin that live there for an overnight trip.
I once lived in Lakeport for a few years so I know the area and lake fairly well. That's where I met my wife.
I love that country. Big bass in that lake too.

That is a huge crappie. I hope he kept it because the way he is holding it has probably damaged its jaws enough that it will not survive.

Nice slab, but friends tell me there are bass in that lake that might eat that for dinner. I prefer to eat the crappie though
