I'm going to get my nephew a pair of binocs, and do not want to spend a bunch of $$$ (under $750). I've got it narrowed down to a few, and can get a Razor HD like new Jap model for about $550. What do you guys with Razor Hd binocular experience think about this glass? I've looked through them at my buddy's LGS, never outside for any length of time. Impressions from actual use please. Thanks.

I thought they were pretty good until last fall when my son got rid of his and bought the Tract Toric 10x42.......much better IMO and my son's

Very good glass JG. I’ve spent a bit of time behind them picking apart the wilds of Idaho.

95-98 percent of the Alpha glass imho....and yes I know how arbitrary that is.

At $550 that’s a no-brainer, especially given their warranty.

I’ve never compared them together but I’ve owned all 3.. I think they fall somewhere between a meopro hd and a Conquest hd. To me, they didn’t feel poorly made or lacking, like many make them appear. However, as you know, you can do much better at regular price. At $550, I can’t think of anything you buy that would be better unless you want to wait for a a Tract demo

For $550, I'd jump on 'em. Great buy for glass of that quality.
