We rescheduled our 2020 hunt to 2021 and the three of us will have been fully vaccinated in the next two weeks. My son received a second shot last week, he works as a police /911/fire dispatcher. Any scuttlebut from the Canadian government about opening the border if one is vaccinated?

We have a train trip scheduled in Aug and the word from the coordinator was Canada will reassess their 14 Day quarantine policy 30 April.

Good morning to you sir, I hope the day's looking to be a good one for you folks on the east coast and all in your world are well.

While I'm loathe to answer for anyone other than myself, for the most part there's been no word of any border openings from the Federal government thus far.

They're currently riding a fair bit of heat - deservedly in my view - for being way, way behind the curve as far as vaccinations go for Canadian citizens. As of yesterday we were 40th in developed nations as far as per capita vaccinations go.

Even if one doesn't believe in the effectiveness of the vaccine, the Feds promised it would be coming and once again their promises have not come to fruition.

Anyways, the deafening silence from your 'Fire friends north of the border is likely just because none of us have any concept of what the next announcement from Prince Sparkle Socks or Dr. Tam might contain.

I am calling the outfitter tomorrow and ask if the Newfoundland - Labrador Outfitters Association has had any input to opening the fishing/hunting for people with a vaccination card as proof.
