Nope..... The giant clam penis looking thing of the tidal flats has zero appeal to me. Let them PNW peeps eat em if it trips their trigger.....
Rather have a whole wheat, crunchy peanut butter, and sliced banana sandwich.....

Tribes make a mint on them out here. They'll likely collapse the stocks before long.

I don’t eat seafood anyway, but who was the first guy that looked at one of those things and said “mmmmmmm”.

I think that you have to grow up in a certain area gooeygraphically to appreciate them, which, I guess, would make the issue somewhat gooeycentric. Back in the day, they probably drove Gooeys from General Motors and majored in gooeyometry or gooeyology.
Not a real member - just an ordinary guy who appreciates being able to hang around and say something once in awhile.

Damn gruff...how can you cut out seafood as a whole? There’s not a thing you’ve ever had that hit the spot? Fresh dungeness? Seared scallops? BBQ salmon?? And that’s not even getting into the fresh sashimi...

None of it. Shellfish allergy now precludes some anyways, but even when I was younger I never tried anything good enough to eat twice lol.
I’m more of a meat and potatoes kinda guy. Toss some carrots and corn in for vegetables and I’m good.

Delicious in clam chowder.
Some guys build their own suction guns out of PVC pipe to pull the clams out of the sand.

Seems all these guys who immediately jump to penis fantasies don't eat beef tenderloin either - I mean, you'd have to deep throat it, right?

When I was traveling through Crescent City, CA I had a geoduck dinner. It was good. Tastes like meaty clams. Try em, you may like em. Harvesting those big clams looks like a tough job though.

My aunt's beach has geoducks. I have not dug one up and eaten it since he 1960s.
