Was at our family farm in Ks two weeks ago, helping my brother put in a new half mile of barb wire fence. He used pipe and sucker rod posts. While there, I saw the hedge post fence that I helped our dad install in the early 1960s. It’s still in good shape.

Richard,

My Ggrandfather and Ggrandmother out at the old family place south of town. Circa 1925. The piers are bois d’arc as they are called here. Texian pronounced "bodark" 😊

There are some on my brother-in-law’ s that his grandfather put in when their house was built in 1903.

A good hedge post will wear out two post holes.

20 years ago there was a big post dealer between near Yates Center, KS right on US75. Haven’t been through there since moving to Missour. There were always semis there loading and unloading. Everything from line posts to massive corners.
