Anyone have experience with one of these? I can buy one that has beautiful wood chambered in 7x57 for 1500.00, are their custom rifles accurate? Any other info would be appreciated.

Thanks

My buddy has one in 280AI that I have played with extensively and load for. It has been a solid and accurate rifle. The ergonomics of the stock are a little blocky and some people don't like them, all personal taste. I think one with great wood at that price is a good deal if you like the rifle.

Two bromides.......

Its s better to be lucky than good.

and

Opinions Vary!

Guess I've been lucky!

and I have a favorable opinion.

YMMV

I have owned three of the Synthetic stocked "M48 Custom Sporters a 325 WSM and two 270 WSM. If it is a Nosler Custom rifle, It should have Nosler engraved on the floor plate. I do believe the newer one have Nosler Custom on the left side of the receiver.

I've owned Two Nosler M48 "Patriots", one in 7mm-08 and the other in 308 Win.

All five would do an inch or better at 100 yds with my handloads off the bench.

Currently I am down to my original Custom Sporter in 325 WSM, as the others have followed someone else home. Cash does not talk, it screams!

For a couple years, the M48CS was my "go-to" hog thumper for shots 175 yds and over.

If I've not shot a rifle for a while I always check zero before a hunt. I shoot groups for load development. For killing stuff, I'm most interested in POI vs. POA, first shot, cold barrel, as where I hunt one almost never gets a second shot.

Last time I checked for zero.

If it truly is a wood stocked custom and you do not decide to buy it, I would appreciate it if you would PM me the seller's contact info.

Furthermore, should you decide to buy it and don't like it, I can almost guarantee you that I would be a player.

Best,

GWB

I picked up a used M48 ‘06 here in the classifieds a few years ago. It is very accurate. I think I gave 900 for it, synthetic stock, blind magazine. Routinely get 1-1.5” groups at 200 yards in loads it likes. I would buy another if I ran across a good deal on one.

What did they end up doing to it?

I bought a very early Nosler Custom Shop rifle in 270 WSM from the classifieds here. It shoots way better than I can and so far has shot the few factory loads I have tried well less than moa. I am currently working on a load for it

That started off having to change the barrel and ended up changing the receiver as well.
