So, yeah.....I may be chained to a failing business, am probably morbidly obese, struggle with a little bit of the blues and a pinch of alcoholism...take a stupid thyroid pill and a blood pressure pill every day.

Have a bunch of old schitty machinery that is always breaking down, live in the middle of nowhere....where commodities are expensive to produce and more expensive to get to market.


It never frigging rains here and the wind always blows.


We make so little money that we qualify for every program out there. My boat is still blown up. Normaly we just sit around and watch the leaded paint chip off the walls.




But then.......I come on here and feel much, much better about myself and my life.


Like a trip to Walmart after the checks come out. That schit show would make anyone feel better about themselves.




It could always be worse...........I could be rubbing Vicks and King Arthur Flour on my ass.........

I drive by the Family Dollar and wonder what all they have inside.

The damnedest one I’ve ever seen is in Jasper Texas. I never seen so many ugly women in my life. Livingston runs a close second.

I bet going to a State Fair would make you feel pretty churched up.

Family were farmers/loggers...things happen.

Worked both jobs as a young man, soon saw the only way to have anything at all was if you owned the businesses. So I moved on.

But, they were the best jobs I ever had. Lived the work, and the life.

Add in doing it with those kids.
You have it better than you think.
And the chillins? They don't know if they are rich or poor.

I do enjoy crop dusting the new arrivals here in the HEB.
