Fried Turkey nuts are a great treat, much better than calf fries, I think.
Gotta say I never paid much for them though

Dipped in milk and egg (mostly egg) and then dredged in cracker crumbs and flour with proper seasonings and then deep fried at around 375. They are to die for. Haven't seen them for many years , locally. They are kinda easy to overcook but otherwise they taste like very tender chicken.

Turkey slaughter plant across the street from where I'm working right now. Our former QA manager used to work there, a couple times a year he'd call in the favors and get a couple cases for free for a weekend fry party.
