This cat brings stuff to the back door alive and gives it to the dog to finish off! I guess it’s what you call a symbolic relationship.

Our cat drags in rabbits, she starts on the head and the dog starts on the ass and they usually end up meeting somewhere around the neck

We had a house cat that brought us all kind of stuff. The weasel and squirrels impressed me. Nasty bastid, he had to leave before I killed him. Woulda been a purrfect barn cat. Not much of a pet.
Parents who say they have good kids..Usually don't!

Your cat is a friend indeed, imagine how much the dog will love it. I think I need to get a cat for these annoying creatures called rats. Sometimes last year, before I cleaned up my basement, they ruined a lot of stuff I had been safekeeping, with a cat in the house that would have not happened.

Inherited the cat from my daughter. When we first got it the damn thing would kill everything it caught and bring it to the back door. Sometimes dropping them in the wife’s shoes mice, moles. Voles, lizards and once a little rattlesnake.
Sometime along the way the cat got to be buddies with the dog and went to bringing everything back alive and letting the dog finish it off. The cat will just sit back and watch the dog chase the prey around until it catches it sometimes it will get away and the cat will go get it and bring it back.
In the summer sometimes the dog will lay just inside the back door and the cat will bring stuff in through the screen. It’s more of a problem because the damn dog will try to turn the living room upside down trying to catch the rodent. Twice it’s come in with live bats, not that easy to catch.
