Three more 1899s on the way. There's a .250-3000 takedown (195XXX), another 250-3000 non takedown (600XXX) and a 30-30 takedown (168XXX). I don't know much else about them but I figured $US980 for the lot of them was decent enough that I was willing to take the risk. At the very least I'll have some cleaning projects to keep me busy for a while. I won't see them for a few months until a friend brings them on his next trip through town but I'll update this post with pics whenever they arrive.

Nice to hear there are still good deals to be had. I'm stuck in a brain-freeze with the price of ammo and reload components. It's starting to make bow hunting look cheap!

Neighbor kid showed me his bowhunting outfit this weekend. Heck the glowing nocks were $13 each, not counting arrow, inserts, fletching, or broadhead! If I shot a $20 or $25 arrow I couldn't afford to chase squirrels or grouse all over the forest like I did as a kid.
