My tape measures... I must have about a dozen of them but I always have to look for one when I need it.. but I use the heck out of them and several of them are due to be retired and replaced soon....

Bulk of repairs I see are the tools used to stir molten metal in the furnaces. They are variations of a 25' or 31' long 6"X12"X1/2" wall tube with various heads and angles. About 50 years ago my FIL gave me a set of really cheap screwdrivers. They're all gone except for the largest one in the set that I started using back then for all those things you're not supposed to use a screwdriver for, like a chisel, punch (remember metal top oil cans?), small pry bar, and occasionally for a screwdriver. To this day it lays on my workbench behind the vise in easy reach when it is needed for a screwdriver abuse job, which still happens regularly.
No doubt my most used tool.

My Ryobi cordless drill gets the most use. Over 10 years old and still going strong (on it's second battery). I splurged a few years ago and bought a Makita circular saw. Money well spent. Very much the case here with the Ryobi cordless drill motors - have two, one for each shop - these things are tireless and seems like I use one every day. As for corded, went for Skil worm drive with the circular saw and Milwaukee with the recip saw. Also tireless. Most would know I was kidding about the "bigger hammer" - dependable tools are a big part of things here. I use mostly Starret mics/calipers/dial/depth gauges and. akin to KC, seems like I'm always reaching for a good screwdriver of one tip or another. Recently, the handiest thing at the reloading bench has been that inexpensive but very good digital caliper from HF, and that RCBS auto powder measure that my wife gave me for a recent Christmas present is a blessing. Seat one bullet in a loaded case and prime another while the measure spits the next grains. (Darby suggested I get one - thanks to him). But, I do not at all care for the way one has to de-load the remaining powder from that thing. Best/most rewarding tools I own are some fine musical instruments. Blessings.

That's about right. I have two of the Ryobi 3 x 21 belt sanders. At one time I had the small triangular head detail sander. I found the tool worked best if you cut off the cord and you stuck with sandpaper in the corner and sanded like hell. I have old 1/6 sheet palm Roybi sanders that do well. Couple of drills over the years. Mediocre at best. I think I got several 2-pack 6.0 Ah Ryobi batteries for $50 each pack. Mostly I was buying the batteries for the longer run time of the women's' string trimmer. The four and a half inch grinder was a collateral purchase. In a nutshell, buy Milwaukee, Makita (related companies), DeWalt etc. Ryobi is junk 80% of the time.

Will anybody admit to Dremel tool? I use Dremels to sharpen chainsaw chain. https://www.ebay.com/itm/50pcs-Chai...Stone-4mm-5-32-Rotary-Tools/2840651466073/16 size instead. Get about one and a half chain sharpened per tip. Sharpen about 40 chains in the winter and using the rest of the year... repeat.
