The tool that gets me out of the most trouble is a Milwaukee 1/4 shaft air driven die grinder. Basically a big gassy Dremel.

Oddly enough the most useful single item over the past couple of decades has been my Mitutoyo digital calliper.

These are my opinions, feel free to disagree.

I live in the world of .001 and .0001"

Under the hood, I fine the 1/4" Milwaukee ratchet a lot more handy than the 3/8" Milwaukee ratchet.

2X72 grinder/sander. After that it would probably be a toss up between the trip hammer and a hand hammer on a anvil.

I use my vise alot. A much underappreciated tool, and hard to find a quality example of anymore. I broke two cheap china made ones before getting a Yost forged and welded model. Made in Hong Kong or some such, but night and day better than those commie made ones.

A runner up for most used would be the Worksharp knife sharpener.
