mike r Very true on this. My tax attorney saved me and my business many hundreds of thousands of dollars with the help of my CPA.

It is your patriotic duty to deny them funding any way you can.

I have been audited over the years.
And as one of them indicated, they have to find something, so you will pay something in.
Last audit was with penalty under $9.00 owed. My accountant, just pay it it is not worth fighting over.
Another time (1980 to 1990) the IRS redid my taxes and sent me a return well in excess of what I was expecting. A few months later, they asked for the money back plus interest, charged me like 23% interest. In the telephone interview, I should have know that the amount was more that what I was owed and I should "NOT" have deposited it in my bank account. I should have held onto it until they contacted me, and there would not have been any interested to pay because I did not cash the check. My accountant, told me it is a loosing battle to fight with them, and the interest would continue to add up. This was for about $1,600.
So, because I moved around a lot working for the same company, my name came up for auditing more than the average person.
So I learned to keep a daily log on milage, meals, motel expenses. Plus any other items I may have purchased.
This information kept other audits from developing when they asked for additional information.

The only taxes I didn't pay was on my first ATV. We have to pay a fire fee to the county. The county issued a building permit, sent a county inspector while the house was being sent, and collects property tax on out Home. The 911 center had no clue where we are located and wanted to claim we are in the neighboring county. When we bought the ATV I didn't list it for property tax until the county got it's head out of it's azz and corrected the mistake. A lot of folks drive from Ga to Tn to buy their atvs/utvs etc...to save on tax. Its weird, some Ga counties figure it out and charge taxes accordingly, some dont. I know folks that have gotten busted for it, and others that didnt. I wonder how the counties obtain the info from where you purchased it, certainly Tn dealers aren't giving it up. Gotta laugh my ass off over some of the tax deals. See all this stuff about property taxes, income taxes.... And being from an overall higher tax state, I hear so many crowing about not paying... tax. Then i learn of paying property tax on cars, motorcycles, atv's... WTF? Thing is gooberment need money,. And we got it. And they takin it to fund dare projects. The total percent might change, but we all payin'. Only difference is what they tax to get it.

It is your patriotic duty to deny them funding any way you can. That Sir... is the smartest 13 words written on the campfire in many a day.
If you are not actively engaging EVERY enemy you encounter... you are allowing another to fight for you... and that is cowardice... plain and simple.
