Don't have a real one, I just use an old baked beans can, with the top & bottom cut off.

Wonder why I'm so cheap? My dear mother used to make donuts with a jar lid, and a thimble.

The one we've had for years was in my wife's family. I just measured the I.D. and it is 2½". It is probably 75 or 80 years old. It has a red wooden handle so is easy to find in a drawer full of kitchen tools. Still works just fine. L.W.

Somebody say butter? Gotta support America’s dairy farmers. This was in the basement fridge, 14 pounds. Probably a couple more pounds in the kitchen, 2 butter dishes probably good for a half pound in the counter and I’m sure overflow in the garage.

If you like Dutch oven biscuits, which I do, here is a good video by Ron of the Cody Museum, on how to make good ones in your Dutch oven. He doesn't cut the dough but just drops 'em in the d.o.
VIDEO
I've made them like this several times and they are mighty tasty.
