Takes longer to find where you put your W2s than it does to fill out the 1040EZ form, maybe a long 3 minutes.

I use it for my own taxes, plus I do the kids taxes to. It works great. I used H&R block for a few years, but they screwed up, and wouldn't back me up when audited, even though I paid extra for that service. Stay away from them.

You don’t need Turbo Tax for that.
Get a fuggin golf pencil and a sheet of paper. If you're using the EZ form, Turbo is free and will e-file for free. Why not? It removes the chance of you making a mistake.

I've used it for more than 10 years. I've prepared our returns, my mom's returns, my kids returns, including multiple state returns for one son and his wife. (They are now charging extra for a second state return.)
If you have your data organized, you can prepare and file your taxes in a couple of hours.

Not sure what it cost to use Turbo Tax, but I have been paying the same lady $80 to do mine for the last 25 years.

Our accountant got hacked a couple years ago, files accessed we were among those who may have been compromised.
We were contacted by the IRS, that we needed to go to their office with Layers of ID and prove who we were and our address.
The agents spoke very highly of the accountant and how they had handled the situation.
All of this to say, They tactfully asked if we had ever tried an online service. They refused to say a name, but when we mentioned Tubo Tax, They said "Yes, it's one of several. If you go to the IRS website, there are links to several approved by the IRS. Pick one."
Then, they suggested we go to one, and run our tax info through it. Compare it to the results from the accountant.
"JUST DO NOT HIT SUBMIT" because we had already filed.
Last year we went to the accountant (Bullheaded) and took our daughters info from her part time job.
He pushed the papers back across the desk and told us to use Turbo Tax. It wouldn't be fair for him to charge her to do it.
So, other than a teenager's EZform, no experience.
But, it was recommended to us by the IRS and the accountant we pay.

This was my 7th year using it. It saves your info from previous years. You just look it over and input the new numbers. Pretty easy. I had about 10 various forms and I was finished in well under 2 hours

I went ONCE to one of those H&R Block places about 20 years ago.
Guess theyre only used to Uniquwa and Tyrell coming in there with W-2. Or Pvt Beatle Bailey.
I had a bundle of 10-99s, wife and I both had 8-4 worky jobs, I had 2 small businesses I did nights and weekends, she was a Realtor on the side, we had rental property, college plans, dividend statements from our investment funds, Roths, mortgage interest, land we had sold that year.
JFC
Never again, and I told them over the phone what I had they said come on down. I had my doubts and I was right.
Always did it ourselves from then on.

I've used TT for years. Each year it provides fewer tax situations unless you upgrade.for a much higher price. This is my last time to use it, they priced themselves out of my intrest. For the first time, this year it dumped my entire tax entries when it updated its' self and the update was mandatory so everything I had input was just gone. I am a slow learner but never again.
I'm not cheap, I'm frugal.

Not Turbo Tax. I have used HR Block Tax Cut for close to 15 years. The Deluxe version includes schedules for business and farm expenses.
I work out of state and so have to pay tax to my state of employment as well as my state of residence. I used to do all of my own taxes on paper with a desk calculator. Usually the states would correct my return and send me a bigger check than I had expected. LOL..Beats the hell out of being charged with tax evasion I guess.
Anyway, doing my taxes with Tax Cut cost me a bit over $100 this year including electronic filing fees for Federal and Oregon. The tax calculations were not real difficult this year with 1W2 and 5 1099s. But still $100 is cheap to me for the computer to do all the math, and take care of the filing.

Just would just need it for Federal. No State income tax in Texas.
I’m just a salaried employee plus a couple of minor self-employed gigs where I was paid one flat fee per job. I pay the county property tax too but I forget if that figures on a Federal tax return.
No exemptions exceeding the standard deduction.
Would TurboTax work for me? Yup. It perfect for exactly that. I've been using it for over ten years now and have been happy with it. The only hiccup for me is our slow-assed innanet out here in this fahqin' blowhole. Even then, TT puts me right back to where I was when the connection dropped.

I don't do our taxes but my wife does. She uses Turbo Tax and loves it. All I got to say.
