I have a heavy duplex Leupold 4x shotgun Scope that I'm thinking about using on a 404 Jeffery for buffalo this fall in Zambia. Because it's a shotgun scope my understanding is that the parallax is probably set for 70 yards. That would, if anything, seem to be a good thing given my intended use. Am I missing anything here?

FWIW, I had a shotgun scope on my 45-70 when I lived in Kodiak. I loved how fast it was to acquire targets and easy shoot well with both eyes open. I have absolutely no idea how that translates to The Dark Continent.

Had a 1-4 power leupold shot gun scope, that I used on both my .45-70 for a plains game, in RSA, and used the same scope on a Ruger No.1 375 H&H mag, for a DG hunt in Zim. The scope was perfect.
