Ww have several Brits in flight training and they’ve still got the spirit. Well prepared and just as motivated as our American students.

That's true but they did lose close to million of their BEST men in WW I and almost a 1/2 million in WW II fighting for freedom. Imagine what family dynamics would be like "over there", or here in the US today for that matter, if all those men weren't in the position to make ultimate sacrifice "for God and country" and had the opportunity we take for granted to raise families and pass their legacy of honor and courage down to countless generations?!?! Hard to even imagine what we've missed out on as a result of all the military men who've died in combat but it would be a good time to give a moment of silence and contemplate our deep appreciation and respect for their loss. Thanks to all the veterans, past and present!!

At very high levels of skill, at distances under 100 yards (often much under), I can very well imagine how the longbow could be effectively deployed in modern warfare. It's silent death. You find yourself and your group under fire, and you will have no clue as to where the fire is coming from. You may not even know you're under fire at all till several of your compatriots have arrows in their heads, necks, and torsos.
