I also had a H in 22HP that had a cap on the end of the barrel. I think it also was a 1912-13 rifle, it was a plain Jane, not like Don's. I passed up an 1899H in 30-30 at Tulsa one year that was capped. A lot of original blue on it, but a couple holes on the side from a side mount and I walked away. Should have bought it. Talked to a suppressor guy here and he said adapters could be bought that would fit a new suppressor to an old Maxim threaded barrel.

Saw a 22HP with the threaded muzzle in a pawn shop in Ocala, Fl., that looked like it had been dragged through the swamps too much. The pawn shop owner was hyping it as having belonged to a poacher in the early days of Marion County.
