Why are you calling this a scam is it because of the new member low post count? It seems like a legitimate price point or am I missing something?
You see the patterns over time. Guy registers runs his post count up really quick than posts a desirable item at a good price. Seen it a bunch of times. If he's Legit he can prove who he is to someone and they will still buy the item but we try and watch out for one another.
I have no affiliation with the OP but his pictures show a serial number that’s one lower than those in the links. But it does seem a little fishy.
To the OP. If this is a legit sale it’s best to post a photo with today’s date and your username on a piece of paper in the photos with your scope.
Just photoshopped. Look at every other detail of the box itself (background is photoshopped too). Every bend in the cardboard, etc... exactly the same!
Yup, seems these scammers are coming out of the wood works. I almost got duped on a pair of Swarovski Binos over on Rokslide. Same scenario as described earlier with the recent registration along with a couple dozen responses and then they set the hook with a desireable item at an extremely attractive price point. They are getting good and a buyer must be vigilante. I'm going with the idea that if it seems too good it's probably not.

Exactly the same! These scammers are ridiculous! Just another reason I won’t buy without the seller providing specifics I ask for.

This is no guarantee either, a short while ago I had a scammer steal an old photo off here and photoshop his name/date on a piece of paper into the photo. the first photo below is the original stolen photo, the next is the scammers photo shopped version with name/date.
