Some guy is asking on another site if there is such a thing as a Monarch grade, the discussion was on the PE models and if the Monarch grade was more engraved than the the PE, is there such a thing?

Yes their is and the PE is not in the same class as a Monarch and a Monarch Special is far better than

a straight Monarch

Check out David's book, there's one in there. Pages 40, 41. They aren't exactly floating around..

Here's the "plain jane" Monarch (ha ha ha ha ha). A Monarch Special that Fug is referring to, I believe, has animals or scenes engraved on the sides as well as the oak leaves.

There is a Monarch on display at the Fraser museum in Louisville,Ky. It came out of a collection in Bowling Green,Ky. Value is in the six figure range.

Dave Trauth has one. It will be featured in detail in my new book. The Fraser museum hasn't responded to my inquiries about obtaining pictures of their rifle.
