Cheyenne, WY) – Governor Mark Gordon announced Monday Wyoming will remove its statewide mask requirement and allow bars, restaurants, theaters, and gyms to resume normal operations on March 16th. The decision reflects the state’s continually improving health metrics and is consistent with the Governor’s approach of balancing public health with protecting livelihoods.
Wyoming has seen a declining number of active COVID-19 cases and hospitalizations and has seen significant success rolling out the vaccine, with the state’s most vulnerable residents having access to the vaccine. Advertisement
“I thank the people of Wyoming for their commitment to keeping one another safe throughout this pandemic,” Governor Gordon said. “It is through their efforts that we have kept our schools and businesses operating and our economy moving forward. I ask all Wyoming citizens to continue to take personal responsibility for their actions and stay diligent as we look ahead to the warmer months and to the safe resumption of our traditional spring and summer activities.”
Governor Gordon emphasized the success the state has had in managing the virus while keeping businesses and schools open. The Governor continues to encourage Wyomingites to wear face coverings in indoor public spaces and to follow the best practices adopted by any business they visit to slow the spread of the virus. The significant changes to the health orders will be released later this week, but the Governor wanted to make sure the public knew of this important change today.
The face-covering protocol will remain in place in K-12 schools as a safety measure to ensure that classroom learning and all student activities can continue to occur safely.
“Wyoming is one of the few states in the country that kept students learning in the classroom for the entire school year. We made sacrifices, but the earlier orders saved lives. We persevered,” said Governor Gordon. “With this approach we can have graduations, proms and a great end to the school year by keeping schools open. Especially since our children will not have the chance to be vaccinated this spring.”
Wyoming’s vaccination efforts are among the most efficient in the country. Nearly 100,000 first doses have been administered and 19% of the state’s residents have received at least one dose of the vaccine. Almost all counties in the state are now entering the 1c phase, which includes restaurant, bar, gym, and theater workers. Wyoming vaccine distribution information can be found here.

The fact that it's even called a pandemic at all shows how effective this whole fiasco has been.

Good. I've been wanting to get back up to the Grand Tetons and this will make it more attractive.

Well, I’m not impressed. Our governor as usual, waits until the “waters have been thoroughly tested” prior to doing anything! He’s pretty good at staying in mid-pack, as “not” to draw attention! “Leading from Behind” should have been his campaign slogan!
Perhaps we could get Governor Kristi Noem to relocate to Wyoming and take the reins! memtb

Y Good. I've been wanting to get back up to the Grand Tetons and this will make it more attractive. GTNP is under control of the feds, not the state. They’ll probably have restaurants shut down and require face masks for another few years or so.

The "Midget Dictator" in our state will probably have us all wearing masks (like good little sheeple) for the duration of her term.

She's got businesses by the privates - if they want to continue - they'll have to follow her dictates. The ONLY reason I wear a mask, anywhere. If she were to pull business licenses - does that mean we can quit paying taxes?

Gordon is handled and directed largely by the socialists and now that more and more people are learning the whole covid19 news story was based in lies, that there is NO "deadly pandemic" but only an ongoing agenda to deceive the people, the government and it's spokesmen have to find a way to back out slowly and try to safe face. We had a flu season and the death toll was exactly like every other flu season and not as bad as many of the worse flus that went around in the past. Here in Wyoming, just like everywhere else, the deaths were all tallied from other causes and blamed on Covid, with heart attacks, cancer, car wrecks, lung disease, kidney failure and MANY other true causes. Gordon went along with it just as he was ordered to, and the press carried the story.
On a personal note: When the new paper articles came out with the headline "First deaths in Fremont County" they listed 6 deaths from the Wind River Reservation on the front page of the local news paper and also in the paper from Cheyenne. I AND MY WIFE KNEW 4 OF THE 6 and of those 4, ALL were in dire straits from liver, heart and lung problems back in 2018 and all were told by their Hospice Care doctors they had less then a year back in 2018. In early 2019 all of the passed on but the "news papers" were told to list them as Covid19 deaths, and they did. Covid19 was not the cause and was not even known to exist when they were all told they had less then 1 year to live.
They are only 4, in about a million deaths lied about, and listed as covid19 deaths.
It's like any other flu. If you are super weak and already dying and you get a bad cold or a flu it may be more then you can survive, But if you never got Covid and were dying anyway, you'd still die. Figures don't lie, but liars will always figure. Gordon is one of the liars.

So many families small businesses are being destroyed by the government.
