TexasBBQ, I don't have a scale so not sure about the weight. As for shooting, from what I remember groups were decent for my shooting abilities. I didn't keep a record so can't give specific group sizes.

Looked at a couple options, and it was going to run $250-350 to have Cooper or others repair it, so I went to work with some fine steel wool and bought an $8 bottle of Tru-oil.
If you know it's been worked on you can probably see a slight difference from the other side, but otherwise I doubt anyone would ever notice.

Thanks Omar. I am happy with how it came out. You do realize that is a $3500.00 rifle. I think they are around $3000 now. but you don't get wood like this anymore without a $400 upgrade. That's what I thought too
