Talk to high_country. He'll fix you up with something suitable.

I can probably set you up with a better powder in trade for varget. I'm in spokane every day. Don't be foolish (or worse). Take him up on it.

I would not buy something that runs on any kind of primer given the possibility of primer shortages and even regulations. In fact, why not buy a flintlock? Really. Rocks aren't going away anytime soon.

Varget in a 38 Special? I wouldn’t think so! I would not do it either. But I used to know a guy who reloaded for a 7.5 inch Virginia Dragoon in 44 mag just by dipping the empty case into a bowl of IMR 3031 and then seating a bullet. They went bang when he pulled the trigger.

Trade for a suitable powder. I concur. I run 2.7 gr. Bullseye or 3.1 gr. W231 under a Lyman #358495, a 148 gr. wadcutter in .38 SPL. About the only real difference is your double ended wadcutter is probably seat flush wit the case mouth while my bullet has a crimp groove. A pound of either powder will charge an awful lot of .38 brass. Paul B.

I’ve got an unopened 1 pound jug of Bullseye, but I’m in Central Texas. Do you know a HazMat shipper in my area?
