I;m down to a single bolt action rifle with extra barrels, a Model 94 30-30, Ruger 10/22 and Savage A 17.
Three shotguns
Two handguns.
My son has less.

Gun Violence Prevention and Community Safety Act of 2020

This bill makes various changes to the federal framework governing the sale, transfer, and possession of firearms and ammunition. Among other things, the bill does the following:

generally requires individuals to obtain a license to purchase, acquire, or possess a firearm or ammunition;
raises the minimum age—from 18 years to 21 years—to purchase firearms and ammunition;
establishes new background check requirements for firearm transfers between private parties;
requires law enforcement agencies to be notified following a firearms-related background check that results in a denial;
creates a statutory process for a family or household member to petition a court for an extreme risk protection order to remove firearms from an individual who poses a risk of committing violence;
restricts the import, sale, manufacture, transfer, or possession of semiautomatic assault weapons and large capacity ammunition feeding devices;
restricts the manufacture, sale, transfer, purchase, or receipt of ghost guns (i.e., guns without serial numbers);
makes trafficking in firearms a stand-alone criminal offense;
requires federally licensed gun dealers to submit and annually certify compliance with a security plan to detect and deter firearm theft;
removes limitations on the civil liability of gun manufacturers;
allows the Consumer Product Safety Commission to issue safety standards for firearms and firearm components;
establishes a community violence intervention grant program; and
promotes research on firearms safety and gun violence prevention.

We’ve been getting porked for years. I’m inclined to believe many are enjoying it. 😞

● REMOVES LIMITATIONS on the civil liability of gun manufacturers,
- Establishes a community violence intervention grant program; and
- promotes research on firearms safety and gun violence prevention

Since it was introduced in the 116th congress and we are now in the 117th...
Does it need to be reintroduced? Or reactivated?
Or can any bill that has been previously introduced be reinvigorated?

Sorry, but my cynicism for all things of legal sorts has grown immensely.

Well, obama succeeded at at least one thing with all this. We are a nation divided. I look at people when I'm out and about and think, that fool / millenial / black / snowflake probably voted for resident biden and they are assisting in the destruction of my country.

I don't know if it's hate that wells up, but it's a strong disaffection.

The feds again controlling what should be a state managed function, because the lie-beral courts allow it via the interstate commerce rulings.........................but it's gone far too far to ever turn that ship around, so they will do what they can do.

And as long as the Demons control all 3 branches of government, 4 if we include the dirty SCOTUS, we are completely & totally fu^cked.

And repealing things that pass, either good or bad, is far more difficult that keeping them from passing in the 1st place.

Get thee to a.private firearms sale. Something in a common caliber that takes magazines of substantial size.

Ummm but time is short for such things.

Obama dang sure divided this country. He was one of few presidents that coulda brought us all closer together. But, he pushed all further apart. Now whites are supposed to feel guilty about being white and blacks think they can do whatever they want. And both sides keep getting madder. Sad shape we are in.

The Constitution is not perfect, but it is better than what they appear to be using today.

Taxation without representation. I do put some blame on the Republicans to put something on the table when they were in power to pacify the other side. They do background checks in some communities today. When i got my pistol permit in 1975 I had to meet with the Chief of police, he asked me a few questions as to why i wanted a Pistol Permit and I told him. My father had a Colt 1911 and I now possess it and want to be legal should i decide to shoot. He agreed. Granted i live in a small town and he knew our families but still went through the motions.

Didnt the SCOTUS decide taxing a right was unconstitutional years ago when they tried this before????

Assuming SCOTUS did the right thing and said that law violates the Constitution, what difference does it make? The bastards are gonna do whatever they damn well please and SCOTUS can go ffuck itself.
