Have been looking for bullets. Larry at Midway is making some bucks. His price is $70 for same items available elsewhere for $50. He has the right to set his prices as high as he wants but when this shortage is over I will never support that business again, never.

I am more sore over the USPS taking ten days to get my stuff from Columbia, MO to my house in NW Misery. I can literally ride my bicycle to Midway in about four days, get my stuff on customer p/u, take two days to rest and see the sights, then ride back in four days. That's conservative. I have received an order in less than 24 hours one spring, about twelve years ago. Just saying. Be Well, RZ.

Any items offered for less than elsewhere?

I had $250 bucks worth of bullets and brass in the cart a week or so ago and decided not to order because of the prices. I'll wait until Natchez gets them in, or I'll do without.

The price is why, if you really need them, Midway has 'em.

The price is the reason Natchez is out of stock.

Bingo.

We're all ardent free marketers until we want ammo 😇😂 It's one thing to expect "local culture" to keep a lid on prices in the classifieds here but the idea that major companies are going to artificially cap them is just kinda silly. Algorithms based on supply chain availability and demand set the prices... it's not like LP sits hunched over a desk like Scrooge jacking them up one by one. And as said above, generally none of the normal priced sruff is in stock... or it wouldn't be normal price.

i am sure gouging is going on top to bottom and pricing is reflected at the retail level...
larry must also have some extra cost some where because he can get it on my doorstep before the other guys can even get it out of their door...
in some cases the products Larry has in stock reflect current pricing and not so much at the other places because they havent gotten it back in at current pricing...
bottom line is buy where it works for you

I am through with Midway. Not only due to the price rip-off. When you place an orde,r they inflate the shipping and handling way up there.
but the final straw was the frequency of their POP -UP adds from having accessed their site to shop. Shopping unsuccessfully by the way since they have nothing in stock.
If Midway becomes the only place with stock, I will NEVER DEAL WITH THEM AGAIN!!!! Sorry just venting

Nothing in stock, literally? LOL

Pop up adds? Uhhh, never seen one, ever. LOL

Shipping? I have $82.84 worth of chit in my cart and shipping is $6.75, cheaper than a SFRB! LOL

Larry should sell ammo for $15/box with no limit so that it’s never in stock and it all shows up on Gunbroker for twice the price.

Does anyone who is complaining about the ammo prices being charged by Mr. Potterfield know how much said ammo is costing him? Didn't think so. Maybe he's gouging, maybe he's not.

Worked in a grocery store when I was in high school. It was owned by a crusty old fart that didn't take much crap. One day a lady came in and told Mr. S that A&P down the street had round steak for $0.99/lb and it was $1.29 in his store. He asked why she didn't buy it at A&P and she said they were out. Mr. S looked at her and said, "Hell, if I didn't have any I could sell it 99 cents too".

Same principle. You can sell it cheap if you ain't got it.

It's obvious that the world is full of victims. Some even own guns and they buy ammunition and bullets.

In times like now, just be happy if you find what you want or need. If the price doesn't fit your needs, move on until you find a better price.

All of this "Larry is out to screw me" stuff sounds like a bunch of old ladies trying to get the best price they can get on begonia seeds because they deserve nothing but the cheapest price.....

It's official. I missed the selfie deadline so I'm Maser's sock puppet because rene and the Polish half of the fubar twins have decided that I am.

My birthday was last week and Midway gives a discount on one's birthday. BS! everything I put into my cart was full price. Also noticed when buying a case of Lapua Scenars from Powder Valley that Midway had the same for $120 more. Don't think I'll be doing much business with Midway from now on.

On behalf of The Universe (which is completely fair to one and all in every other aspect), I would like to apologize to those who have been FORCED to look at Midway USA's website even though their prices are higher than you want to pay. Fortunately, you are able to buy everything else you ever desire at what you consider bargain prices.

A Pity Party will be held in your honor.
