I sent my wife in to pick up reloading components one day while I was in the middle of something. She apparently asked the lgs for bullet bullets. The store new exactly what she was after because they sent her home with a box of bullet bullets. Since then that is what the family has called them.

Proper terminology is cartridges. Lots of people refer to ammo as bullets, been guilty of that myself. I have never heard anyone refer to them as bullet tips. Calling them bullet tips is weird and ignorant.
