Made my weekly trip to the local gun store and they just put out a half dozen or so each Glock 19's ($539.99) and G43x's ($439.99). I'll bet it's been six months since I've seen a new Glock for sale in any store.

They also had Winchester white box 5.56 (20 rounds $11.49), Federal 9mm (50 rounds $12.99) and Federal .22lr 800 packs ($44.99).

Wish I could find some .22 WMR and .380.

GreatWaputi: My lgs has just been stripped bare and very little (if ANY!) relief in sight.
My local "Murdochs Farm & Ranch Center got in a bunch of CCI 22 Magnum hollow-point ammo last week and seeings I can NOT get any of my preferred 22 Magnum ammo I bought 4 boxes of these to re-sightin with.
If you have any "Murdochs" out your way (OreGone) give them a call.
They also got in some 7m/m Remington Magnum Rifle ammunition which my younger brother has been searching for going on 5 months now - I fixed him up (let's see if he repays me!).

I visited two Wally Worlds today. At the first one I picked up two 100 packs (limit two) of Winchester 20 gauge 7-1/2's. Next stop produced six (no limit) 100 count Winchester 12 gauge, size 7-1/2, oops I took them all. I'm not a hoarder, we can burn up a bunch of shells when the kids and I get together to smoke some clay's. The price was excellent too, a bit over $5 per box. Don't tell any of those crazy bidders on "GunBroker". There were two more Wally Worlds within easy driving distance but I wanted to be home.

here in Minnesota trap season is about to start and many trap shooters are worried not enough trap ammo available right now, shelves here are about empty unless you shoot a 338 Weatherby mag.

Any place where it is "catching up" is a place where people are failing to realize the gravity of the situation.

Probably be gone by tomorrow. They literally put the guns out this morning. The 5.56 has been there (too expensive), but the 9mm and .22lr won't last 24 hours. They have been getting pretty regular shipments though.

Chain caught up? Last I saw any indication that a chain exists in the first place was over a year ago. You're just seeing the last broken links rattling down the chute.

I did load another 200 rounds of 9mm because it was just there.

You know stuff that needed to be done.

I did receive a box of drt ammo from a friend for the 9 mm but have not shot any yet.

Nope. Not here. Whatever stock there is, is way overpriced.

Handguns and ammo lagging here...long rifles seem to be stocked good.

Local LGS was selling pistols and allowing the buyer to get 2 boxes of ammo that they held back just for firearm sales. You didn’t buy a pistol...if the ammo wasn’t on the shelf you weren’t getting it.

ETA: at least this is what I saw when a woman bought. S&W M&P 9mm, she got to buy 2 boxes of Blazer brass at $13.00.

Hit another store in town on my lunch hour today. Glocks, S&W's, Springfield, Sigs galore. Best buy there was a Sig P365 Tac Pac for $539.99 (Tac Pac = pistol, three 12 round mags, and a holster). Cheaper than anything I've seen online. The sad part was, they didn't have a single box of ammo of any kind.

The gunshop in Idaho Falls put on Fascist Book yesterday that they had 9mm, 223, and 22 LR in stock. This morning at opening they had a line all the way around the building and back. Several hundred people were there. We didn't bother to stop. The 223 was about 70 cents a round which is considered pretty cheap right now.

Anything you desire is available for a price, always has been, always will be. Local hardware store has a good lick of Hornady 9mm critical defense ammo for $27 a box.

Not 100% sure on the G43 price but $539.99 is the pre-SHTF price I remember on the 19's from last February.

9mm at 26 cents/round isn't cheap, it was around 17 to 18 cents/round before, but at least it's not the ridiculous 50 cents/round minimum that was being charged even a couple of months ago.

They would need pallets of that ammo to have it last around here.

Ammo is getting a lot better here....a lot better.

But guns are scarce outside deer rifles and hunting shotguns.
