Academy has had 223 each of the past 3 times I have been in there. $10/box FMJ. They have had some other less popular stuff as well. They aren't using the Midway pricing model. Paul, a buddy left the camp Saturday and had to run into town all the way to Walmart. While there he picked up some deer corn and while in the gun section he got down on his knees and peered into the lowest shelves and scored 5 boxes of Remington corelok 30-06, 150 gr for 19$/box. Are they on LA Sportsman yet?

Haven't bothered to look. This⬆️ Go to the grocery about every three weeks. Haven’t been to Costco since April. Same for Whatamart. Go to the feed store or Farm & Family when I’m out of bird food. Online for everything else.
What fresh Hell is this?

Was down in Roanoke Va. Monday (wife’s Dr’s appt), anyway we stopped at Sportsman’s Warehouse. A few odd calibers and plenty of 50 cal muzzleloader. Stopped in Gander Outdoors and they had plenty of shotgun, few rifle, 10mm pistol ammo on the shelf. What I did notice was .300 Savage at $47.99 club price, $49.99 non-club price. 3 boxes allowed per club, 1 box per non-club.

The clown that bought the shop where I used to work had Armscor 22 lr todaya at $12.99/50 and reloaded 45acp at $65/50. So glad I have all the stuff I need to make my own at least for the next two years.

Over the last two months I've bought probably 1k rounds of 9mm. Paid between $16 and $28 bucks a box and drove all over to get it. I've kept an eye out for it but have seen none for sale in the last few weeks. We have a fairly big distributor close by and they've had no handgun or rifle ammo for at least three or four weeks now. Along with low stock on shotgun ammo.
The guys at the club on the trap team are afraid they won't have the ammo to shoot this spring.

That's what I was told...dont know how true it is. All of our big clay shooters are clammoring at walmart just for a few boxes, even them are having a tough time finding 12ga.

Any of 'em still have reloading gear? While I haven't reloaded any over the last 5+ years, I still have probably 800# of lead, 2K+ primers, 15+# of powder and at least 2K hulls.. Son and I are gonna hit the trap range soon...

The gun shop owner is starving. He can't replace his inventory, so he has little to sell. No sales = no profit = lean times at home. Don't begrudge him the methods he uses to survive. My LGS is stocked heavily with guns and is having no problem getting them. That along with whatever ammo[cartridges/boolits, whatever] he can acquire, shipments are coming daily and are selling mostly same day. If you 'had' inventory you should now 'have' cash which is better than having neither.
