For what they charge, hell yes.

Id be pissed too. A little ocd, but like pharm said, for what they charge right now, they better send the right amount. I primed some new lapua brass the other day and there was 101 pcs in the box. Thats how it used to be with Remington brass back in the 90's.

I think it was Hornady at one time advertised their bullet's packed 101 to the box! I've counted and that's what there was!

Sierra used to do that in the 90's, they even advertised 101 bullets in every box. maybe Hornady did too.
But anyway ya, I'd send an e-mail too.

Good to see I am not the only one with some OCD!! Recently had a guy on here sell me some powder (Face to Face). got home and weighed it. Hm..with the container it weighed 15.5 oz. I compared it with a sealed container, same bottle style, and it weighed 1lb, 2.2 oz. Anyway, left it go, figured its not worth the hassle over 2.5 oz powder. But still, the OCD in me says "that would do an additional 20-25 rounds ammo!"

No but like Tom said I can use those for fouling shots. I'm just curious when will it get here.

Interesting fact, I loaded a box of 90gr SGC and I was short 5 bullets. Now I'm going to count every new box I get. Looking for the 101

It would bother me too. I usually load in groups of 20, 50 or 100. Two bullets short would mess with my counts. Yeah, sooner or later your counts are going to be off due to brass failure or loss. But I want it to be me, not them!

I was shorted a couple of bullets in a box of Speer 50 gr TNTs, in 22 cal...

I called Speer Customer service, and they sent me an entire new box which had 102 bullets in it no less...

had a shipment from Midway another time, the box developed a small hole in it, and one of the boxes of 444 bullets broke open...

about half of them fell out during shipment...

called Midway, and they also sent me an entire new box of 444 cal, 300 gr XTPs...

That may be standard for Lapua--every box of Lapua brass I've ever bought had 101 pieces in it.

Today I feel your pain. I'm finishing up a 600 round batch of .444 Marlin with 270 gr. DCs. Next to the last box only had 49 of them. They did however, give me one 9mm 124 gr. GDHP. Even if they are packaging by weight, you'd think a 146 gr. weight difference would have set off a bell. Fortunately I had on open partial box because my OCD would have been going off all evening knowing I only had 599 loads.

You can't even get an answer from Speer via e-mail, what do you think my chances are of getting one 270 gr. DC?

I don’t think I’ve ever counted a box. I guess I’ll start.
