What can I say, my home state is continuing its death spiral. If this initiative makes it to the ballot and gets voted in, it'll mean the death of a huge section of agriculture in Colorado. Here is the article from The Fence Post, it just amazes how they want to wipe out the second largest revenue generator for the state.

Basically livestock have more rights to life than humans, and you're committing criminal acts if you fertility test, preg check, and AI an animal. I hope and pray that this dies before making it on the ballot this November. If it makes it and gets the votes, it is only a matter of time until it will be taken up in other states.

I just cannot get around the impression that America is under an orchestrated attack.

It's not. They really are this stupid.

This is what happens when empathy and caring are taken to the absurd extremes.

They'll get all the signatures they need on the 16th Street Pedestrian Way or Mall or whatever it is. Did that with the bear ban back in the 90s.

Could it be that Proponents Alexander Sage of Broomfield, and Brent Johannes of Boulder are just dumb fuggs who have no clue about which they are trying to legislate ?

WTF. CO city folk don 't need no stinkin ranchers or farmers. They can just go to the supermarket to get their meat from out of state sources. Californians in Co are kinder, gentler folk, you know.

Geez you guys are a bunch of Chicken Littles. But then you have all lived past your assigned 25% of years anyway and need to be put down, starved, broken, and/or run somewhere else to make CO a true utopia.

Unconstitutional laws should never be obeyed, Anyone trespassing on private property seeking to enforce unconstitutional laws should be shot on sight. Only way it ends.

Colorado used to be a fine place when it was all one area code.

Then California moved in a fugged things up royally.

I will have to disagree with you a little.
It is an orchestrated attack, they want to outright ban the sale & consumption of meat but know they could never get that passed. They are taking a page out of the anti gun page book and trying to chip away at the meat industry buy putting forth legislation that to the average idiot sounds reasonable. Just like the anti gun people, 3 day waiting period, gun free zones by schools, magazine restrictions. Then they will be pushing for more restrictions if this passes.
As far as them being stupid, I think it's more a case of mental illness, that's how I view vegans

Hopefully the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association and the American VMA are fighting this.

It will get interesting around here with no farming, ranching, and diesel engines...Americans are gonna be slimming right down.

That would be funny if it weren't so sad.

......should have an amazing effect on property values.
All that pasture/grazing real estate will be bought up and covered with low level - high volume neighborhoods.
Imagine a Kolorado of 10 million vegans, all stoned on pot, where hunting is illegal ?

The French would have had their yellow vests on and taken to the streets months ago.
What a pathetic , third world schithole this recently great country has become.

I cannot get around the impression that so many of us are seeing it happen with crystal clarity, right before our very eyes, and yet all we can do is talk about it. It's as though we are hypnotized into paralysis...
