I have a ruger m77/44 wood stock carbine that's about 9 years old. Been shot 1 time. Have box paper work and all. Curious how hard these guns are to get and what it's value is.....I see them online for 999$ but are out of stock. Any help of value and availability is appreciated. Am considering selling or trading it and want to be aware of what to offer or ask. Thank yall

Things are nuts now, so it’s hard to say what someone might pay for almost anything. Those are nice rifles, and good ones, but I’d never pay a grand for one myself. Might go $800 at most for a used one. If I couldn’t get one for that much, I’d get something else.

You’ll never get anywhere near that price from a dealer. They’re in business to make money, and even now they’d be hard-pressed to squeeze a profit out of your rifle if they paid more than $500 or so. Local sale, or maybe selling here is your best bet to maximize the return, but you may need patience. Personally, I’me very reluctant to ship anything of real value now because of all the issues I and others have had.

Good luck.

Looks like ss/synthetic are going for ~$800-$850 on completed auctions on GB. I didn’t see any wood stocked ones completed. On my search.

I kick myself all the time for passing on one at a lgs for $425 a few years back.

Great rifles, i love mine but personally wouldn't go over $700 on one. Doesn't mean the next guy wouldn't pay more

I’ve seen several on here in the past year for 650-750. That being said, prices are INSANE right now. I’m sure on gunbroker it would go for more.
