OP sqweeler Campfire Tracker S Joined: Feb 2007 Posts: 4,046 L.I. N.Y.	35 Rem. Did the 1 shot clean,2 shot clean routine with factory 200gr Core-lok's.Then fired 4 at 100yds.Going to start loading this week with 180 Speer's & 200 Sierra's.

Only a barbarian would chamber a bolt in 35 Remington. They say everything happens for a reason. For me that reason is usually because I've made some bad decisions that I need to pay for.

I was sighting a Marlin 336 in 35 Rem for a coworker a few years ago, and using Hornady ammo it shot pretty amazing 3 shot groups at 100 yards. IIRC, it was around an inch. Regardless, your rifle is sweet and has me once again considering a bolt action in 35. 4 out of 5 Great Lakes prefer Michigan.

Before your rifle was a .35 Rem...what was the original cartridge as purchased? Was it something from the the .473" family of rim diameters? I ask because I am curious whether the smaller rim .460" caused any problems in functioning. Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

I've been searching high and low for some of those Speer 180's as my stash for my 14" Contender is getting low.... Not many out there. ttpoz in silvam ne ligna feras (don't carry logs into the forest)
