For sale Ruger M77 Boat Paddle 30 06 in very good condition. I bought this here on the fire and it's just been safe sitting ever since. I have a ruger box but it's not the original. Scope is not for sale. 1" & 30mm rings will go with the sale.
This will be gone today. Awesome price compared to what they are going for.
If you have been remotely looking for one of these, you better pull the trigger fast.
"...aspire to live quietly, and to mind your own affairs, and to work with your hands, as we instructed you, so that you may walk properly before outsiders and be dependent on no one." - Paul to the church in Thessalonica.
I paid $700 here when I bought it and we did a face to face so no shipping at that time, just figure I'll break even now with shipping. Seemed fair.
Everything I've read about these so far is very positive. This is a very fair price from looking on GB, GA & GI. I am so very tempted to get but I have more 30-06's than I need now. Hate passing up a good deal though....
Tempting. I just bought this me of these. If only it was a 270 or 7 mag.... free bump!
The .270 is the greatest hunting catridge ever designed. To dispute this fact is to only justify our loonieism in owning and hunting with inferior cartridges.
I'm glad you .270, 7RM guys passed on this one, gave me a shot at it.
I have those, like them. Even have '06's. But this one will serve me well. I'm mounting a Trijicon Accupoint 3-9x40 Duplex, green dot.
This combo will be perfect in a woods setting, hunting WT's and hogs from a stand.
I failed to ask the OP about the trigger, now bad it was. Those triggers can be a bit rough. But, I can fix that if it's an issue.
From the condition of the outside, and being SS, I think I know about how the bore will look thru the Hawkeye.
Gun nuts love projects.
Thanks JBB111.

Edited to add, I'm going to keep the sling loops, not retrofit studs. I think a 1 1/4" M1 Carbine sling will work. The way it attaches, I can pop it off the front stirup for bench rest. I want to keep the boat paddle stock as is, not mess it up.
And, the '06 is one of the most versatile rounds out there. I'm loading 200 NPT's over H-4831 at 2,650 fps and have for a long time used 125 NAB's and 130 gr. Horn at 3,100 fps for WT's. And I've shot about everything in between. The boring ole '06 isn't really that boring, at least not for me..
Well it's no benchrest trigger but it does break consistently right at 5.5 lbs according to my scale. I've seen much worse. The bore should look pretty good, I did not bore scope it but cleaned it up when I got it. I think the whitetails in your neck of the woods will be in serious trouble come Fall.
Best of luck and keep me posted once you get it. I received the FFL via email last evening.
Should work great for you. I agree, the 30-06 is an exceptional all around multipurpose round. If you know the load and it's characteristics she will never let you down.
I've been reading tutorals on the M-77 Mk II trigger.
I have a box of Brownell springs I've had for years, don't think I'll need an Ernie spring, will find one in that collection that will work. I'll probably do an epoxy bump for overtravel, using JB Weld or Acraglas Gel. I can hone the sear surfaces without messing them up, have Arkansas hard stones and 1,500 grit sand paper.
That 5.5# trigger will be a clean and smooth 3# when I'm done. Don't think I'll need to spend a dime, just some time.
