Had a pretty young nurse move out of the house next to me a few years ago and a Chinese couple from Taiwan in their late 50's bought it. Considering all of the riff-raff that could have moved in I couldn't have been happier about that. Clean, low key, very nice people. They're probably more concerned about the old round eye dude next door than I am about them...

Depends on what type of person they are. I give most everyone the same character tests. If they pass they are good to go, usually.

I have zero concern about Asian Americans. Intelligent, family oriented and due to their hard work they're among the most successful immigrants we have had.

After having six sons my brother and his wife decided to adopt a girl. They adopted three chinese girls and a russian girl. They went to china and picked them up and then also went to russia to get the other one. The girls were all under 1 year old at the time of adoption. This was 30 years ago. The girls are wonderful and we are all happy to have them in our family. So, yea, I love them.

I suppose they run the full gamut of human behavior just like anybody, so I judge case by case. It was comical though one time, I was with a group of newly arrived GI's that had to go to an in country orientation class on how to deal with the locals. Maybe it was part of the 'win the hearts and minds' bs. Anyway, a 2 hour class, just loaded with references to an ancient civilization that was huge in astronomy, medicine, chemistry, yada yada whilst us europeans were living in mud huts, thusly, you people need to respect their culture and civilization to the max. Okay, heads pumped full of respect, we were on the truck headed back to camp, when the quiet guy next to me observed in a heavy Arkansas dialect, "Seems to me like if these folks was all that civilized these here ditches in front of their houses wouldn't smell like they was full of schidt". Will Rogers couldn't have said it better.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.
