I have a 14 IS 350. I’ve been thinking of lowering it a bit and would also like to improve the handling a bit. I’d really like some rebound dampening control. This is where it seems to let down a bit when in the corners.

I did a Koni/Eibach setup on a car years ago. I loved the improved handling and the slight increase in spring stiffness was well worth the change. It seems that now days most people are going with coil over set ups. I’m not interested in making this a boy racer or slamming it. Just a slight drop.

Any feed back on coil over set ups that work to maintain a decent ride but improve handling? I’ve never been able to drive a car set up that way so all that I have to go on is what I’m reading on forums and vendor sites.

I have a 14 IS, not sure I'd want it stiffer. Mine is F Sport though...

Check into KW coil overs. If they have an application for your car, it would be a good choice. German made good quality stuff that is correctly valved.

For the ultimate aggressive street set up. Motion Control Systems will build you a system. Pricey though.

I’ll check on the KW Badger. Thanks for the recommendation. How do you find them compared to OEM?

DC. Working from memory but I think that the F has electronic input to the struts when sport mode is on? Do you find your IS to suffer from body rise in hard cornering? I’ve adjusted to it but I’m not able to wring the car out because of excessive inner rear? rebound.
