Is anyone (not counting Rigby or others that would require me selling my truck to purchase) making a bolt gun in 300 H&H?

I don't believe any common manufacturer does other than special runs, though I have never looked seriously into it. If you're dead set on a brand new, standard manufacture rifle in .300 H&H, rebarreling and chambering any .532 bolt face long action Rem 700, Ruger 77 or Win 70 rifle wouldn't be too expensive, and certainly less than the ultra expensive Euro options.

D’Arcy Echols for 25% of a new pickup.
When that pickup is trash that rifle will still be working perfectly.

OTOH, the world is full of .300 Win Mags. For me, the only reason to take on an old timer with availability issues is because I stumbled onto a nice old rifle. Ballistically, there ain’t much difference, but there’s a considerable convenience gap.
Just a thought; don’t want to be a killjoy.
What fresh Hell is this?

Buy a Remington 700 classic, sometimes unfurled rifles on GunBroker, two used rifles on there now.
I had a pre-64 300 H&H, sold it like a fool.

Just a thought; don’t want to be a killjoy. The voice of reason here... but I've gotta admit that an H&H would sure be cool.

The Wby Mk V was always more expensive then the Winchester. Bet some of those guys now wish they’d left them original, DF

The H&H is pure nostalgia and the rifle should be as well. Winchester 70 is about the only mass produced US maker of 300 H&H rifles. Excellent conditioned rifles in 1940-1960 makes exist. They will run in the $3,000 range.
The finest nostalgia 30 Mag and in my opinion done right is the 308 Norma Magnum. Fits easily on a std length .532 bolt action. If you were to build you could benefit from shorter case length, faster twist and use 200-225 grain high BC loads as well as all the lighter ones. The Norma will push 200 grain loads right up close to 3,000 fps with 24-inch barrel. Good brass is available through Norma.
A donor action would not be hard to find as any std Mag length will work. Just a simple rebarrel chambered in 308 Norma. It’s definitely a hand loaders proposition. Just a thought.

Take a 700 magnum long action and screw on a 24" SS 30-06 SPS bbl and have it rechambered to 300H&H. BTDT

An 89 year old gunsmith friend has a few rifles to sell that were never shot or taken afield. Six are Win. Pre 64’s and one is a .300 H&H that has been drilled and tapped, so collector value is out of the window. He removed the side mount but he still has it. He also has a Mauser 98 that he put together in .300 H&H. He has two .308Normas a Mauser and a Sako AV that is out of this world. All are wood and steel. If interested, pm me. I can forward photos via text or email. Don’t have an imgur account and can’t post here.

Why not just buy a Pre-64 Winchester Model 70? They can be found for a reasonable price if you're patient.

No ballistic reason to want one. Just nostalgia and cool factor.

There are some Remington 721s that were chambered in 300 H&H.

Well if a person reloads the 300 H&H can match the factory ballistics of the 300 Win Mag and a little bit more. Mine is a low comb that I paid $600 for it 20 years ago. The stock is fairly rough, but man does it shoot. Cycles slicker then goose crap on ice. I have made some of my best shots with it, because it just fits me. A friend has a 721 in 300 H&H that you would have trouble prying out of his dead finger.

Browning made a run of 300 H&H a few years ago I believe.

I think the nostalgia and cool factor comes more from the rifle, a lot more, and much less from the chambering. An Xbolt or Tikka in .300 H&H has not much more cool factor than either of them in 6.5 Koolaid.
