Just finished watching the Band of Brothers and come to the conclusion that I want a:

Springfield M1 Garand

All original working like it should, bayonet a plus. No sporters, no drilled & tapped. Just a good representation of the original gun.

For the right deal I have cash of course but would prefer to pay in 22lr since that appears to be the (hunters bitcoin) 😁

PM me with your offer.
Thanks
Mark

You know what they’re worth, yet you want to trade for inflated 22lr ammo price?

You may need more bait for your trolling.

This isn’t a buyer’s market.

Good representation of of the original gun yet it has to be all matching numbers. Get ready to get off that wallet.

I have an all matching Springfield that was made one month away, per s/n, from what my dad carried in the Battle of The Bulge. I had to come off $1500 for it about 20 years ago. It was pristine though. I wouldn’t sell it for anything due to the sentimental value, yet if I wanted to, I wouldn’t take twice that figure.

Garands are pretty high these days.. all matching is going to add to that.
Awesome rifles tho and everybody should have one!
Good luck in your search

They don't have all matching numbers like a Mauser. A correct from factory is much $$$. they can be made correct by switching parts. I wonder if you "have a fair grasp on current prices for these".

Yes, add a correct, original cartouched WW2 stock and all correct period parts and you are easily looking at the $1,800-$2,000 range, often more depending on the year.. Make it a Winchester and add $$.

“Correct” in that case wouldn’t necessarily mean all matching #’s. Man I think you’d be looking at 3+ for that as a starting price. But I’m not the final word on Garands.

Yes, you are right. By correct I mean every part has the drawing number and style that would have been on that rifle when it left SA, WRA, H&R or IHC. If it is early pre WW2 or WW2 or has a great TE and MW $3+ is not out of the question.
