I bought a new Win Mod 70 Ranger 30-06 back around 1988 for a planned build that is not going to happen. I never fired the rifle. What would be a fair asking price? I did check Gun Broker but did not see any Ranger models. Thanks in advance.

There's been one sitting in the classifieds for a while (or at least as of a couple days ago it was still there)... drew lots of compliments but didn't seem to snag any buyers.

Blued, hardwood (birch?) stock & push feed? Sights? N.I.B. I'd say not much more than $400 to $500 tops. Perfectly serviceable rifle, just not in very high demand.

I try to stick with the basics, they do so well. Nothing fancy mind you, just plain jane will get it done with style. You want to see an animal drop right now? Shoot him in the ear hole. BSA MAGA

Thanks for the input guys this helps a lot. It looks like that one in the classifieds has sold. I am going to take mine to a local dealer who sells a lot on Gunbroker. If I don't get a fair offer I may list it in the classifieds here when I figure out how to post pictures.

Years back I won a Winchester "Youth Ranger" .308 in a raffle. I junked the cheap birch stock and put it in a Ramline stock. Damn thing shots sub MOA with just about everything I've run through it. As fas as I'm concerned it's a keeper. Paul B.

Back in college I bought a fwt contoured Ranger '06 which someone had thoughtfully nestled into a Mcmillan stock, for $365. That gun is a sub MOA shooter with multiple loads. Those pushfeed Rangers are sleepers.
