I suggest calling Barnes and asking them what the recommended minimum impact velocity is for a given bullet. Might want to call twice a couple weeks apart as I have gotten a different answer on the same bullet before. A friend uses a .270 WSM and Barnes TTSX bullets on everything up here in Alaska, sheep, caribou, moose, etc. He likes it. Prefer actual empirical field data to lab testing. GR Sooo, you don't want me to look up our data at the Ballistic Lab? Alan Alan, I'd like to see it if you're willing to put it up. Thank you

Regarding the 140TSX from a vanilla 270Win. Since 2010 looking back through some pics between myself, some family, and a couple buddies I can account for 10 bucks 50:50 whitetail to Mule Deer from ~75yds out to 560yds. 3 elk from 225-425yds, and 3 Caribou. There were a pretty good pile of does in that period as well but I can't account for numbers specifically w/that load to a certainty.
The projectile itself will absolutely work on anything you wish to ventilate in North America, at about any range you're comfortable with, close or far. I have found the projectile to be very accurate and the accuracy came easy in multiple 270's of multiple manufacture.
I cannot speak to the accuracy of the Nugent Ammo.
I can walk on water.......................but I do stagger a bit on alcohol.

I use the 110 TTsx out of std 270 with H4350 at 3300, never recovered one yet. Accuracy is 1/2" with the bullets loaded with a .050 jump from the lands.
