We've been using colored zipp ties . This is not a great picture, but I think you can see the ties.

We've been using colored zipp ties . This is not a great picture, but I think you can see the ties. You can use a single color zip tie if you consistently tag one side of the circuit.

Paint markers, colored tape or colored zip ties . We always spray paint the coupler that goes to the left or bottom. Use electric tape to tape the ones together on same outlet. Important to have some system when you have 10 lines on one machine

Next time you see the phone truck guy working stop and get a scrap of 32 or 64 conductor cable every little wire is different, cut off a length to go around the circumference of hose/fitting, twist like a bread tie. Survives rough handling, oil, weather etc...if you ever have to pull the main distribution rotary swivel in the "hole" in an excavator...you will thank me. Paint, magic marker and tape work in Canada, but in the US we prefer hydraulic oil running everywhere so none of that stuff sticks.
Well this is a fine pickle we're in, should'a listened to Joe McCarthy and George Orwell I guess.

I saw that on a tractor on an auction sale. Things were simpler back when. My father had a John Deere tandem disk, 13', no tongue jack, no need, one hose.

I am trying wire on, aluminum trot line tags on my hydraulic blade hose couplers. Just write what ever you want on the tag. I've just marked UL for upper left, etc. They should stay on and won't fade either.

Farmer I worked for during high school and college used a piece of electric fence wire, wrapped around the quick connection on the hose, twisted tight to not be a hazard. The right hose of every set got the wire wrap.

Richard, I got my colored zip ties in and have started marking things.
It should help, because I take a photo of the remote outlets with the hoses attached and have to scroll through lots of photos to get to the right tractor with the right implement.
Thanks again.

Had to replace hoses to the FEL. Marked new ones w electric tape. Color-coded caps for when FEL is removed. Didn’t have red tape. Closest was orange.
