I always hunt my home unit where I live. I've done that since the 50's. No need for maps or compass. Have you figured 'em out yet? I've discovered they don't like to be shot.
Money can't buy you happiness, but it can buy you a hunting license and that's pretty close.

I hunt southeast Montana. No outfitter so we only get cow tags. There are some Huge Bulls we've seen every year!

I just applied in Montana with zero points. Reminds me of Dumb and Dumber "So you're telling me I've got a shot."

Hey mtnsnake. Been hunting 54 since '88. Didn't make it out this year because of work. Just saw the hunt stats. The bulls killed for all 4 seasons looked good. Why such high numbers in 3rd and 4th ? Was it a dry summer like 2 years ago when the herds came down early or did someone shoot off some fireworks over at Castleton Ranch ?

I'm not sure yet. I'll be at the Maverick station ready to go early so I can just follow a serious looking guy with a quad in the back.

Colorado, Unit 54, 3rd rifle. Cow if I draw: OTC bull if not.
You see in this world, there's two kinds of people my friend; those with loaded guns, and those who dig. You dig.
