Open water at Nelson Creek and the face of the dam.

One walleye overnight and a hammer handle this morning.

You bastard.....grin

This weather lately is way too nice!

Neighbor kid asked the other day if he could throw in some set lines down on the river. Walleye and sauger should be running.

Told him if he catches an extra one l'd like a filet or two.

I'm too fricken lazy to try the night bite...lol

I miss camping out there. Some of the most beautiful sunrises I have ever witnessed was camping at Fort Peck.

Last week at McGuire Creek through the ice. Thought I had the state record walleye when that catfish hit.

Sam, how’s the catfishing over there?

coldwater catfish is usually pretty tasty stuff. You ate that one?

No she’s in the freezer.

Ate a smaller one that we caught a couple weeks ago and it was really good.

No bait in Malta anymore.

We bought minnows at Sinclair in Havre and they counted out exactly 36 minnows.

Ya, hell of a fighter. Almost spooled me on his first run.

Turned out he was foul-hooked center of his tail.

A hammer handle pike is a young pike that bits like crazy, steals minnows.

They are too small to clean.

It’d be nice if life didn’t get anymore complicated than that.
