Premiere on Easter Sunday at 7pm central on RFD TV.

Looks like they’re going to start carrying re-runs of the old program.

Marlin and Jim each had a lasso around a bears neck. Marlin got scared and dropped his rope. Jim climbed the only tree in sight. Bear went unimpeded after Jim.

Jim screwed again.

Used to watch it every Sunday night with the rest of the family. Even at that young age, I remember wondering why nothing ever died. Every prey animal always got away from the lion etc.
But back then, they didn't dare show any blood and guts.

Yep. I used to watch it with the folks when I was but a lad. Also watched ABC's The Wide World of Sports: "The thrill of victory, and the agony of defeat."

...And Slam Bang theater & the Three Stooges.

The good 'ol days fer sure.

I loved that show as a kid. I got some helicopter long line training (picking things up attached to a long cable beneath the helicopter) from a guy who did some work for Marlin during filming of the show. He said Marlin was sloshed most of the time and passed out in a truck. He seemed like a pretty honest fellow.

I did as well. Was very intrigued by the use of Rokons-loved all things two wheeled as a kid. Finally scratched that itch 7 years ago and bought one. I even took it for a spin yesterday.

Good times.

Seems like I remember one line in that episode that went something like this...
Marlin, “The snake has coiled around Jim. If I don’t help him he will surely be killed,”

I looked forward to The WIld Kindgom and Six Million Dollar Man every week. I hope The Wild Kingdom is closer to what I remembered than the Six Million Dollar Man! The episode where Steve Austin met Sasquatch was "epic".......epic CHEESY!!!! wink

Wow.
Now that is an interesting way to generate Alpha...
Seems an odd investment/revenue stream for an insurance company...
When was it last on air?

Perkins was born and buried in the town I now live near. Will have to snap a pic of his “hall of hero’s” biography hanging in the local YMCA Monday when I take my boy in for swim practice.
